The Smile

There are some things that bring a smile to your face. That happened to me yesterday when I received a notice from the high school I went to, Cathedral High School, in Hamilton. Ontario.
They advised me that they have constructed a “Wall of Distinction” at that school, and I was given a plaque that was mounted on that “Wall”.
Cathedral describes the “Wall” this way:
"The Cathedral Wall of Distinction was established to honour the exceptional achievements of Cathedral alumni who have had distinguished careers in their chosen fields and have made significant contributions to their communities. Cathedral alumni inducted into the Wall of Distinction truly embody the school motto of “Probitas et Scientia” which freely translates into “Goodness and Knowledge”. The Wall of Distinction not only recognizes personal achievements and success, but it also serves to inspire current and future students."
I am told that many students walk by the Wall and say, “I am going to up there one day”.
Inspiring young people should be the goal of all of us with life and professional experiences. All of us need to share our journey and knowledge. We need to pass it on to those who are following us.
Put that smile on your face and theirs!
